Tigers Notch Section Win Over Rams, 186-231
On a scorching afternoon at Conley’s Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon, the North Allegheny girls’ golf team earned a section win over Pine-Richland, 186-231.
Like the weather, the Tigers came through thanks to the hot shooting of sophomore Katie Rose Rankin and junior Sissi Hai, who shot a 40 and 43, respectively. Senior Olivia Schenk tallied a 49 and fellow senior Yunshu Li rounded out the scoring with a 54. Pine-Richland’s top golfer on the day was Emerson Dickson, who shot a 48.
North Allegheny improves to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in section play. The Tigers will try to make it three in a row on Monday afternoon with a visit to Mt. Lebanon.
