NA Outlasts Pine-Richland In Five Sets, 3-2
The North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team picked up its fourth consecutive victory with an exciting 3-2 road triumph over Pine-Richland on Tuesday night. The Tigers earned the win by set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-23, 20-25 and 16-14.
Helping lead the Tigers toward victory were junior Luke Visgitis and sophomore Canyon Tuman who tallied 16 kills apiece. Sophomore Jason Stiefvater added another 15 kills and 10 digs defensively. Junior setter M.J. Barton dished out an impressive 45 assists and collected 15 digs. Libero Danny Lebovitz notched a team-best 22 digs. Luke and Eric Visgitis stacked the net and combined for nine blocks on the night.
North Allegheny improves to 4-0 overall and in Section 2-AAA action. Pine-Richland slips to 2-3 in the section. The Tigers will host Shaler on Thursday night at 7:00 in another section contest.
