NA, Plum Play To 1-1 Draw
North Allegheny’s boys soccer team traveled to Plum to take on the Mustangs in non-section play on Tuesday evening. The Tigers and Mustangs battled to a 1-1 draw.
NA got on the board first as Leonardo Yu got a steal at midfield, and made the perfect pass to Noah Hutter who was able to score and give the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute. In the second half, North Allegheny committed a foul in the penalty area, and Garrett Chandler buried the penalty kick and the score was tied 1-1 only nine minutes into the half.
With less than two minutes remaining in the second overtime period, Plum had a prime opportunity but Tigers keeper Xavier Zyskowski made a great save to keep the score level, where it would remain.
Zyskowski and Emiliano Perin combined for 11 saves.
North Allegheny is now 1-1-1. The Tigers return to action Thursday when they host Upper St. Clair in another non-section match at 7:00 p.m. This game will be broadcasted live on the NA Sports Network.
