NA secures 39-20 triumph over North Hills
North Allegheny hosted the North Hills Indians at UPMC Court on Wednesday night in a non-section clash. The Tigers were dominant throughout the night and secured a 39-20 win over the Indians.
Kellen Buggey got things started with a 4-3 decision. North Hills won the next two bouts before NA would rip off five straight wins: Bradyn McConneha and Charlie LaQuatra won by pin, Mason Hartung won by major decision, Joseph Synan won by decision. Gus Stedeford (pin), Brody Magorian (decision) and Griffen Reid (tech fall) won three of the final four matchups to cruise to a 39-20 victory.
LaQuatra was the Wright Automotive Wrestler of the Match for his performance in pinning North Hills’ Armani Polito.
North Allegheny improves to 4-1 overall. The Tigers return to action on Saturday when they travel to Kiski Area High School to take part in the Kiski Duals starting at 9:00 a.m.
