NA Sends Four Golfers To WPIAL Individual Championships
Five North Allegheny golfers participated in the WPIAL Individual Qualifier at the Apollo Elks Country Club and four Lady Tigers advanced to the WPIAL Individual Championships. Wednesday’s event was an 18-hole contest and the NA girls excelled at the neutral site. Sophomore Christina Lewis had the low score of the day with a 74, while fellow sophomore Caroline Wrigley followed with a 77. Freshman Esha Vaidya finished strong with birdies on three of the last four holes to qualify with an 87. Senior Jessica Hood also made the cut with an 89. Junior Jordan Farrell missed the qualifying number of 89 with a 93.
The WPIAL Individual Championships will be held on Wednesday, October 5. The Lady Tigers return to action this afternoon with a home match against Sewickley Academy.
