NA Shoots Down Shaler, 3-0
The North Allegheny girls’ volleyball team claimed a 3-0 sweep over the Shaler Titans on Wednesday night at NASH. The reigning PIAA champions won their 33rd in a row with set wins of 25-16, 25-14 and 25-17.
Junior Abby Miller kept the Titans off-balance with her dynamic serves. She tallied two aces and served 21 times.
Senior Anna Sprys belted out a team-best 12 kills and five blocks. Sophomore Paige Miller notched a team-high 17 digs on defense and added eight kills. Sophomore Paige Morningstar had eight kills and senior Allena Carmody delivered 13 digs.
With the win, North Allegheny is now 10-0 overall and 7-0 in Section 1-AAAA. Shaler falls to 1-6 in section play. The Tigers will take part in the Baldwin Invitational on Saturday.
