NA Starts Section Play With Narrow Loss To Seneca Valley
For the second consecutive contest, the North Allegheny boys’ golf team was edged by a narrow margin, dropping a 199-200 decision against Seneca Valley on Tuesday afternoon.
In the section opener, the Tigers were led by senior Adam Steinmetz with a score of 36. Freshman Collin Wang played well and shot a 39. Senior Peter Canovali chipped in with a 41, followed by Portland Canovali and J.J. Dopkosky, who each shot a 42. Topping the scorecard for Seneca Valley was Nolan Nicklas with a score of 36.
Following the loss, North Allegheny is 0-2 overall and 0-1 in section play. The Tigers are slated to face Shaler in another section matchup on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at North Park Golf Course.
