NA Topples North Hills, 48-20
The North Allegheny girls’ basketball team won its 24th in a row with a 48-20 road triumph at North Hills on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers jumped out to an 18-2 lead after one quarter and rolled to the victory.
Sophomore Grace Heliger paced the Tigers with a game-high 15 points and three 3-pointers. Fellow sophomore Caroline Henderson also touched double figures with 10 points and two treys. No one from North Hills reached double digits.
North Allegheny improves to 14-0 overall and 8-0 in Section 1-6A. North Hills dips to 0-15 overall and 0-8 in the section. The Tigers will host Penn-Trafford on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. The contest will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
