The North Allegheny girls’ basketball team earned a 61-56 road win at Seneca Valley on Monday night.

A steady performance from start to finish by senior Jasmine Timmerson helped the Tigers prevail over the Raiders for a Section 1-6A victory. Timmerson scored a team-high 19 points, while the inside game of junior forward Mia Tuman netted 17 points. Junior guard Cam Phillips chipped in with nine points as seven different players touched the scoresheet for NA.

Seneca Valley was paced by Olivia West, who posted a game-high 36 points. However, West’s one-person show was not enough for the Raiders to rally from a 13-point deficit entering the fourth quarter.

North Allegheny leaps to 18-1 overall and 12-1 in Section 1-6A action. Seneca Valley slips to 11-8 overall and 8-5 in section play. The Tigers look to secure a share of the section title on Friday night against the North Hills Indians. The game will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
