NA Tops Sewickley Academy In Regular Season Finale
In the regular season finale, the playoff-bound North Allegheny boys’ golf team cruised to a 190-213 win against Sewickley Academy.
Junior Jake Watterson was the clubhouse leader at Allegheny Country Club with a 1-under par 34. Helping NA secure the win were sophomore Chris Hoffman and freshman Ravi Desai, who each shot a 1-over par 36. Junior Colin Rende and freshman Colin Ward rounded out the scoring by each shooting a 42. Sewickley Academy was paced by Nick Straka’s 40.
North Allegheny concludes the regular season with a 13-3 record and also finished in second place in the section with a 7-3 mark. The Tigers return to action in the WPIAL Class AAA team semifinals on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at Cedarbrook Golf Club. In the meantime, Hoffman, Watterson and Collin Wang will compete at the WPIAL individual finals on Thursday, Oct. 6.
