NA tripped up by Seneca Valley, 47-42
North Allegheny hosted the Seneca Valley Raiders in a Section 1-6A matchup on Friday night at UPMC Court. The Tigers had the lead early but a second-quarter run by the Raiders gave them a lead they would hold onto for the remainder of the contest and NA fell by a score of 47-42.
It was nip-and-tuck all first quarter with neither team being able to get bigger than a one-possession lead. Trailing 10-8 with the final seconds running out in the quarter, Rae Shanahan hit her second buzzer-beater to end the first quarter this week, this time from three, and North Allegheny led 11-10 after a quarter.
