NA Upended By Gateway, 51-38
At the North Allegheny “Hoops For A Cure” Invitational, the Tigers dropped a 51-38 decision to the playoff-bound Gateway Gators on Saturday night. Outside shooter Frank Bozicevic lifted the Gators to the win with a game-high 19 points, including 3 of 7 shooting from beyond the arc.
It was a tough shooting night for North Allegheny who connected on just 25 percent from the field, but the Tigers received a spark from Luke Carter. The junior guard scored a team-high 12 points and delivered 4 for 4 shooting on 3-pointers. Carter was the lone Tiger to touch double figures on the night.
North Allegheny drops to 10-10 overall, while Gateway improves to 15-6 on the season. The Tigers hope to end the season on a high note with a home game against Blackhawk on Monday night.
