NA Water Polo completes girl/boy sweep of McDowell

The North Allegheny boys and girls water polo teams traveled to Erie, PA on Tuesday night to take on the McDowell Trojans. It was a victorious night for both NA teams, the girls by a score of 18-5 and the boys won 17-12.

In the girls match, the Tigers jumped out to a 9-1 lead at halftime and rolled to the 18-5 victory. Bella Spino led the Tigers with six goals and four steals. Tori Tieppo scored four goals.  May Coffman finished with three goals, three assists and three steals. Lila Torchia added two goals. Mikaela Dassanaike scored a goal to go along with three steals and two assists. Katherine Vales made seven saves.

On the boys side, Tabari Morgan led the offense with five goals. Callan Bunger added four goals. Logan Purnell and Bryce Miller each tallied two goals for the Tigers. Filip Malezanov had a goal and four steals. Mike Stefanko made 13 saves.

The NA girls improve to 4-4 on the season. The boys are now 7-2 overall. The Tigers have a little time off before returning to action on Friday, September 27 at the Beast of the East tournament.
