NA Wrestling wins opener at Chartiers Valley
The North Allegheny boys’ wrestling team opened the season at Chartiers Valley High School on Wednesday in a non-section contest. The Tigers won the first five matches and rolled from there coming away with a 60-10 win over the Colts to start the year.
NA won three matches by tech fall as Eli Mager (145), Griffen Reid (152) and Kellen Buggey (160) all won by 15+ points in their respective matches. Evan Schomburg (121), Mason Hartung (215) and Bradyn McConneha (285) all won by fall. Kyran Rautenbach (189) won by an 8-3 decision.

North Allegheny improves to 1-0 overall. The Tigers return to action on Saturday when they head south to take part in the Trinity Duals starting at 10 a.m.
