NA’s Courtenay Carrel To Receive Cheer Coaching Award

Courtenay Carrel (on the left in photo), North Allegheny’s Varsity Cheerleading Head Coach, will receive the GTM Sportswear Spirit Coaches Award at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Associations (PIAA) State Competitive Spirit Championships at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA next weekend, January 24th and 25th.

GTM Sportswear is a national provider of custom embellished uniforms, warm-ups, and practice apparel for college, high school, and club sports teams. GTM is the presenting sponsor of the PIAA’s Competitive Spirit Championships.

The North Allegheny Varsity Cheerleading Team will compete next weekend in the Medium Division (16 to 20 members).  Last year, the NA Competitive Cheer Team secured a silver medal at the 2012 – 2013 PIAA State Championships.
