The North Allegheny cross country teams traveled to Hershey, PA for the PIAA Foundation meet on Saturday morning. The girls dominated the field of 36 Class AAA teams from across the state. The boys placed 3rd out of 35 AAA teams.
The Lady Tigers were dominant with a 91-point score and 52-point margin of victory.  Junior Robin Kucler ran a smart race with a strong second half, placing fifth overall in the elite field. Seniors Camille Swirsding and Elizabeth Pizon made a fantastic 2-3 punch for the Tigers, grabbing 13th and 14th place respectively. Senior Kendall Lucas battled the whole race, placing 26th overall. Stepping up to grab the important 5th spot for NA, was junior Tess Pagnotto, placing 33th overall. Freshman Lydia Stuart (44th) and sophomore Gabby Pizon (52nd) were very good, displacing top five runners from every team in the race.
The boys placed third, behind State College and Council Rock South. Junior Andrew Peigh led the Tigers with an outstanding race, placing 15th overall. Senior Jack Bertram was very tough over the 5k course, battling hard to take 22nd place. Senior Greg Abel was next for Tigers passing many runners on the final straightaway to take 34th place. Fellow senior Tyler Davis was excellent in 35th place, just a few seconds behind Abel. Senior Jackson Beemer stepped up in a big way to be the fifth Tiger across the line (52nd) and solidify a third place team finish. Seniors Anthony Miklos and Sebastian Klimchak rounded the top seven with good races.
