North Allegheny wasted little time getting on the board, scoring :50 into the contest on its way to a 4-0 win over Norwin at Newman Stadium.

Addison Burns scored her fifth goal of the season to open the scoring for the Tigers. The sophomore then picked up an assist later in the first quarter, getting the ball back off the insert on a penalty corner and finding Josie Shomberg in front for her fifth goal of the year and a 2-0 North Allegheny lead.

North Allegheny had eighteen of the games twenty penalty corners, although they only converted once, the Tigers created several great opportunities off those chances.

Norwin, (2-4, 1-3) received 7 cards in the contest and came up empty on both of their corner chances.

North Allegheny added a goal in the third quarter on a beautiful passing play between Mia Brinkley, Shomberg and Burns. The tic-tac-toe passing play sent Burns in alone on a breakaway that gave the Tigers a 3-0 lead.

Brinkley then capped the scoring late in the fourth quarter, when she blasted a shot home from 14-yards away to give the Tigers the 4-0 victory.

With a pair of goals and an assist, Burns took home the Wright Automotive Player of the Game honors.

North Allegheny, (3-4, 2-2) heads north to Michigan for a couple of games in the Novi Tournament this weekend before returning to Western Pennsylvania to visit Mt. Lebanon next Thursday in an important section matchup.
