North Allegheny Decks Derry Area, 3-0
In a non-section matchup on Wednesday night, the North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team clobbered Derry Area, 3-0. The Tigers won by set scores of 25-15, 25-12 and 25-10.
Most of the varsity roster saw playing time with Luke Visgitis pacing the offense with seven kills, followed by Canyon Tuman who checked in with six kills and Jake Barber who notched five kills. Tuman collected a team-high three aces, while Josh Bachinsky totaled a team-best seven digs on defense. Setters M.J. Barton and A.J. Schmidt posted 21 and 11 assists, respectively.
North Allegheny improves to 12-0 overall with the non-section win. The Tigers return to section action tonight with a visit to Fox Chapel.
