Pine-Richland Outlasts NA Golfers
The North Allegheny Boys’ Golf Team lost a heartbreaker on Thursday afternoon to section opponent Pine-Richland, 187-206, at Diamond Run Golf Course. The Rams had four golfers shoot a 38 or better to outlast the Tigers. Connor White shot a 1-over Par 25 to pace Pine-Richland.
For North Allegheny, Ryan Dougherty and Kyle Dewey each shot a team-best 39. Martin Lazzaro shot a 41 and Josh Huhn followed with a 43. David Mrazik tallied a 44, while Noah Wessel finished up the scoring for the Tigers with a 45.
North Allegheny drops to 10-6-1 overall and 6-3 in the section. The WPIAL Individual Semifinals get underway on Monday and the Tigers will be represented by Wessel, Huhn, Mrazik, and Lazzaro at the event. The entire NA Boys’ Golf Team will return to the green next Friday with a road match against North Hills.
