Sewickley Academy Outlasts North Allegheny, 13-8
The North Allegheny girls’ lacrosse team traveled to Sewickley Academy for a Division 1, Section 2 game and dropped a 13-8 decision to the Panthers on Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Tigers matched the Panthers in the first half goal for goal and were tied 4-4 at intermission. Abby Washabaugh scored two goals in the opening half, on her way to a four-goal performance, and Paige Jones and Brooke Ferringer tallied markers as well.
In the second half, North Allegheny did their best to keep pace with Sewickley Academy thank to two more goals by Washabaugh and two goals by Caroline Palguta. In the end, it wasn’t enough for NA as the Panthers clawed their way to a 13-8 win.
Sewickley Academy improves to 2-4 overall and 2-3 in section play. North Allegheny slips to 0-5 overall and in the section. North Allegheny visits North Hills on Friday night.
