Tigers back in win column with 1-0 victory over Magnificat
North Allegheny traveled to Ohio on Saturday morning to take on Magnificat High School in a non-section matchup. The Tigers were able to end their three-game losing streak and defeat Magnificat by a score of 1-0.
After a scoreless first period, Addison Burns got a pass from Mia Brinkley on a penalty corner and found the back of the net less than three minutes into the second quarter. That would be all the offense NA would need for the match as the defense was strong in the second half and Kayla Joyce made nine saves and picked up her third shutout of the year, helping the Tigers to a 1-0 win.
North Allegheny improves to 4-7 overall. It is back to section play on Tuesday when the Tigers travel to Hempfield to take on the Spartans at 6:00 p.m.
