
Tigers Batter Rams, 66-50
The North Allegheny girls’ basketball team won its 23rd consecutive game on Thursday night with a 66-50 road win over Pine-Richland in Section 1-6A action.
Sophomore Caroline Henderson, who hit five 3-pointers on Sunday against Forest Hills, poured in another five treys against the Rams to help spur on the Tigers toward victory. Henderson finished with a team-high 17 points. Senior Emma Fischer tallied 13 points and senior Jasmine Timmerson touched double figures with 12 points.
Pine-Richland was paced by junior Sarah Pifer with a team-best 17 points. Sophomore Madison Zavasky also reached double digits with 12 points, including 6-of-7 shooting from the free-throw line.
With the win, North Allegheny improves to 13-0 overall and 7-0 in Section 1-6A. Pine-Richland dips to 3-11 overall and 1-6 in the section. The Tigers will visit North Hills on Saturday at noon for another section contest.
