Tigers Blank Indians For Section Win, 3-0
The North Allegheny boys’ soccer team returned to the win column on Thursday night with a 3-0 win over North Hills at Martorelli Stadium in Section 1-AAAA action.
In the first half, senior Evan Anderson weaved through three defenders and scored an unassisted goal at the 29:41 mark for a 1-0 lead.
Anderson struck again at the 16:43 mark of the second half with a header off a Brandon Marzula corner kick, increasing the NA advantage to 2-0. The Tigers put the game out of reach when junior Gabriel Gotz scored on a cross from fellow junior Kevin Luo at 29:02 mark to cap a 3-0 victory.
Goalie Dante Accamando faced limited pressure and easily secured his third shutout of the season.
North Allegheny improves to 5-3 overall and 3-3 in Section 1-AAAA. North Hills falls to 1-6 overall and 0-6 in the section.
