A day after the PIHL AAA All-Star Game, the North Allegheny ice hockey team couldn’t keep up with Central Catholic, falling 6-0 at the Alpha Ice Complex Monday night.

The Vikings rattled off three goals in the first and third periods of the contest. Noah Hritz ended the game with two goals including a power play marker. Nate Morgan, Judah Brophy, Billy George Jr. and Chris Sargo scored even-strength goals for Central Catholic.

Senior Cam Junker started in net for the Tigers and took the loss, letting up all six goals while making 23 saves. Freshman Chris Costa relieved Junker in net for roughly the final 1o minutes of play. Ben Balla earned the shutout win for the Vikings stopping 32 shots.

North Allegheny has a quick turnaround this week, squaring off against Mt. Lebanon on Thursday night from the Mt. Lebanon Ice Center at 8:30 p.m.
