Tigers bounce back with 3-0 win over North Hills
North Allegheny traveled to Martorelli Stadium on Wednesday night to take on the North Hills Indians in a Section 3-4A contest. The Tigers snapped their two-game losing streak with a 3-0 victory over the Indians.
Things stayed even early in the match but NA would finally take the lead with under a minute to go in the first half when Averie Bierker scored off an assist from Ava Hutter and North Allegheny led 1-0 at halftime. The Tigers struck quick in the second half as Emma Schupansky score a little over a minute into the half to give NA the 2-0 lead. Bierker would score again in the 47th minute and the Tigers would roll to a 3-0 victory. Margaret Nestor and Jordan Beemer combined for the shutout in net.
North Allegheny improves to 7-5 overall and 4-2 in the section. North Hills falls to 2-9 overall and 0-6 in section play. The Tigers will be back in action on Monday when they host Pine-Richland at Newman Stadium at 7:30 p.m. This will be senior night and the match will also be broadcast on the NA Sports Network.
