Tigers bounce back with win over Butler
North Allegheny traveled to Butler High School to take on the Golden Tornado on Thursday night. The Tigers bounced back in a big way following Tuesday’s loss with a dominant 3-0 win over Butler.
NA blitzed the Golden Tornado to start the match getting the scoring going five minutes in when a Nick Denysenko shot was saved by the Butler keeper, but Noah Hutter was there to score on the rebound and the Tigers took the early lead. A minute later, Will Love found Hutter on a long cross from the corner and six minutes into the match, NA led 2-0. In the 18th minute, Lucas Henderson put a shot on net that was deflected by the keeper and Denysenko pounced on the rebound to make the score 3-0.
With a three goal lead, the Tigers would play great defense in the second half, Ryan Young made eight saves to secure the shutout and NA won the match 3-0.
North Allegheny improves to 5-2-1 overall and 2-1 in section play. Butler falls to 2-4-1 overall and 0-3 in the section. The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday when they take on Seneca Valley at 7:30 p.m. at Newman Stadium. This game will be broadcasted on the NA Sports Network.
