The NA Tigers won an impressive come from behind victory on Sunday against the Big Macs of Canon McMillan by a score of 7-6 at the RMU Island Sports Center.
North Allegheny trailed most of the game as the Big Macs came out strong scoring the first two goals of period one.  The Tigers managed a goal of their own by senior Steven Cameron, assisted by senior Dan O’Malley to close out the opening frame with the Big Macs leading 2-1.
NA carried the momentum into the second period tying the game at 2-2 with a goal from junior Stefan Craig, assisted by Cameron, but it would be short lived as the Big Macs notched the next three second period goals.  It was Cameron once again with a goal, assisted by junior Matthew Noffsinger, to keep the game within reach heading into the third period with the Tigers trailing 5-3.
The Big Macs continued their offensive threat stretching their lead to three as they notched the first goal of the third period.  North Allegheny battled and would not back down.  With some feisty defense and timely offense, the Tigers slowly worked their way back into the game.  Senior Ethan Zadnik scored twice, one assisted by O’Malley and O’Malley scored as well tying the game at 6-6 at the close of regulation.
In the overtime period, it was Cameron with the game-winner, claiming the hat trick on the day.
Junior goalie Claudia Kushon earns the win as the Tigers improve their record to 2-1.  The Tigers are back in action next Sunday at 9:00 AM against the Shaler Titans at the RMU Island Sports Center.
