Tigers Crush Cougars In Regular Season Finale
Two Tigers poured in over 20 points each as North Allegheny bombarded Blackhawk on Monday night, 81-56. Senior Mike Carter netted a game-high 23 points and senior Elijah Zeise added another 21 points and five rebounds to help the Tigers to a victory in their regular season finale. Carter was 8 of 11 from the field and Zeise was an impressive 9 of 10 on field goals.
NA led by four points after one quarter of play and outscored the Cougars in the second period, 21-8, to take command of the game. The Tigers were lethal from three-point range, connecting on 11 of 26 shots from beyond the arc. For Blackhawk, Tyler Engle scored a team-high 21 points and Chase Migliore added 10.
North Allegheny advances its overall mark to 19-3 with the win and will await the announcement of the WPIAL Playoff Pairings tonight. Blackhawk finishes the regular season with an 11-11 record, but will still advance to post-season in Class AAA with a 9-3 record in Section 2.
