Tigers Deflate Upper St. Clair, 59-9
With six pin falls on the day, the North Allegheny wrestling team made quick work of the Upper St. Clair Panthers for a 59-9 non-section victory.
Fresh off their first place finishes at the Manheim Central Holiday Invitational, A.J. Boeh and Zach Smith collected pins at 138 and 195 pounds, respectively. Boeh pinned Vincent Palm in 49 seconds and Smith squashed Michael Grape in 1:03.
Other Tigers earning wins by fall included Sean Hoover (152), Jacob Fritch (160), Clay Byerly (182) and Layne Skundrich (220).
North Allegheny improves to 3-0 overall with the win. The Tigers return to section action on Tuesday night with a home meet against the Butler Golden Tornado. The match will be broadcast live via the internet on the North Allegheny Sports Network. Start time is slated for 7:00 pm.
