Tigers Drop Section Game To Franklin Regional
The night started out promising for the Lady Tigers but in the end Franklin Regional handed North Allegheny an 18-3 defeat on Thursday night. North Allegheny jumped out to leads of 1-0 and 3-2 in the first eight minutes of the game, but Franklin Regional dictated the play in the remaining minutes in the Division 1, Section 2 contest. Abby Washabaugh scored all three goals for the Tigers to lead the offense. Goalie Katie Shideler made 11 saves in net.
North Allegheny falls to 0-14 overall and 0-9 in section play. Franklin Regional keeps its playoff hopes alive and improves to 4-5 overall and 3-4 in the section. The Lady Tigers visit Upper St. Clair on Friday, May 1.
