Tigers Edge Foxes For Non-Section Win
On a soggy Monday afternoon at North Park Golf Course, the North Allegheny boys’ golf team sloshed its way past the visiting Fox Chapel Foxes, 190-191, in a tight non-section contest.
The Tigers fought through the difficult conditions and were led by sophomore Ravi Desai’s 3-under par 33. Helping secure the win, senior Jacob Phrampus shot a 38, and was followed by a pair of 39’s from junior Chris Hoffman and sophomore Colin Ward. Senior Jake Watterson carded a 41 to round out the scoring for the Tigers.
Fox Chapel was led by a trio of 37’s from Carson Kittely, Anderson Dockey and David DiGregory.
With the win, North Allegheny moves to 2-0 overall on the season. The Tigers will practice Tuesday before traveling to Mt. Lebanon on Wednesday for a non-section meeting with the Blue Devils.
