
Tigers Outlast Lions In AAA Tilt

The North Allegheny ice hockey team held on in the third period to win 3-2 over South Fayette Monday night from the Baierl Ice Complex. The team also enjoyed senior night festivities along with the win.
NA opened the scoring late in the first period with back-to-back goals scored 26 seconds between each other. Sophomore Anthony Lucas lit the lamp first on an even-strength marker assisted by sophomore Nicholas Pasquale and senior Brock Murphy. Then junior Ravi Desai cracked the scoresheet with an assist from sophomore Cedric Otey.
South Fayette scored the lone goal in the second period on a power play by Jackson Stilley.
Less than five minutes into the third period, NA scored the eventual game-winner courtesy of senior Gianni Lochiatto, assisted by fellow senior Marc Joyson. With less than seven minutes remaining in the game, the Lions found a second goal from Trevor Dalessandro assisted by Nathaniel Keller.
Senior Cam Junker made 16 net saves for the Tigers, while Andrew Carlson took the loss in goal for the Lions after stopping 22 pucks.
NA is back in action next Monday night from the Alpha Ice Complex for a road matchup against Central Catholic. Faceoff is slated for 8:30 p.m.
