The NA Inline team suffered an overtime loss to the West Allegheny Indians on Sunday at the RMU Island Sports Center by a score of 6-5.
The first frame saw multiple attempts on goal by both teams but the only score was from senior Steven Cameron late in period to give the Tigers the 1-0 advantage.
The second period saw the Tigers increase their lead as senior Ethan Zadnik scored, assisted by sophomore Christian Mark.  The Indians responded with a goal of their own to cut the margin but the Tigers once again found the back of the net with a goal by Cameron assisted by Zadnik.  The Indian’s offense finished the period strong with two additional goals ending the second period in a 3-3 tie.
The third period opened with a Tiger goal from Zadnik assisted by Cameron but the Indians once again responded with a goal to tie the game at 4-4.  Although the Tigers drew a penalty, it was the Indians who capitalized with a short-handed goal to take the lead at 5-4.  Late in the third it was Mark with a follow up goal off of a rebound to take the game to overtime.
Unfortunately, the Tigers came up short as the Indians notched the game winner in overtime.
Junior goalie Claudia Kushon suffers the loss as the Tigers record drops to 5-3.  The Tigers resume play next Sunday at 9:00 AM against the Norwin Knights at the RMU Island Sports Center.
