Tigers historic in win at New Castle
North Allegheny took on the Hurricanes of New Castle in a section match at Sylvan Heights Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon. It was a historic afternoon for the Tigers as they beat the Hurricanes 169-222. NA’s 169 is the lowest team score in at least the last 21 years.
Preston Troiano continued his phenomenal week as for the second time he posted a 4-under par 32. Helping to secure the win was a trio of 2-under par 34’s from senior Charlie Burbick, junior Ravi Desai and junior Colin Ward. Senior Chris Hoffman was 1-under par shooting a 35.
New Castle was led by Phillip Lorenzo.
North Allegheny improves to 9-1 overall and 6-0 in the section. New Castle falls to 0-7 overall and 0-5 in section play. The Tigers will use tomorrow to prepare for the second time through the section slate as they take on Mars on Friday at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course at 4:00 p.m.
