Tigers Roadblock Norwin For 3-1 Win
The North Allegheny Boys Volleyball Team claimed a 3-1 non-section victory over the Norwin Knights on Monday night. The Tigers stumbled in the first set, 25-21, but rattled off wins in the next three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-19 and 25-17.
Senior David Haus posted career highs in kills (22) and blocks (4) in the win. Senior Brendan Brown collected a career-best 11 blocks, Mitch Higgins notched a personal high in digs with eight, and Luke Gwaltney covered all areas of the floor for a career-high 11 digs. Setter Antonios Balouris led the team with 46 assists and 12 digs.
North Allegheny improves to 7-0 overall and will return to section action tonight with a visit to North Hills. Start time is slated for 7:00 pm.
