Tigers Stuff Indians To Wrap Up Section Play
Rounding the Section 2-AAA schedule, the North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team coasted past the North Hills Indians on Thursday night, 3-0. The Tigers won the road match by set scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-18.
On a night where nearly every Tiger made a contribution toward victory, NA was paced offensively by the swings of Canyon Tuman and Nikola Topich who posted eight kills apiece. Tuman also notched a team-best eight block assists, followed closely behind by senior Jeremy Best’s six block assists. Best also delivered 34 assists. Topich, Ethan DeRubbo and Robert Steifvater all tallied four digs on defense.
North Allegheny improves to 10-5 overall and finishes the section schedule with a mark of 8-4, good for third place in the standings. North Hills goes winless in the section at 0-12 and is 1-12 on the year overall.
JV Update: NA won 2-0 (25-6, 25-8).
