Lola Malarky sets pool record in sweep of Upper St. Clair

The NA Girls and Boys teams continue to live up to the expectations winning away against Upper St Clair. The junior classman girls did not disappoint again with Sophomore Lorelai Quinet and Freshman Kate Dudroboth scoring their first WPIAL cuts.  Congrats to senior Nick Klein for a PB in the 500 Free as well.

In the 200 Medley Relay, the NA Girls took 1st, 2nd, and 4th Pl. With the Tiger’s top quartet of Dani Hinkson, Tori Tieppo, Claire Bacu, and Madden Woycheck clocking in at 1:49.35. The NA Boys took 2nd, 3rd, and 4thPl.  With the top team of Gus Miller, Dylan Seiford, Alex Harbough, and Talon Xing posting a 1:38.24.

Sweeping the 200 Freestyle, the NA Girls dominated with a 1, 2, 3 finish. NA’s top swimmer, Lorelai Quinet finished with the time of 2:00.82. The NA Boys took 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Pl. The Tiger’s top finisher, Danny Lesinski finished with the time of 1:42.54.

Continuing the trend, in the 200 IM the NA Girls went 1, 2, 3 again. North Allegheny’s top swimmer, Claire Bacu touched the wall at 2:10.86. The NA Boys crushed it with 1st, 2nd, and 4th Pl finishes. NA’s top swimmer was Gus Miller, who swam a time of 1:56.54.

In the 50 Freestyle, the NA Girls took 2nd, 4th, and 5th Pl. NA swimming’s top finisher, Dani Hinkson finished with a time of 26.05. It was the NA Boys turn to sweep with a 1, 2, 3! Leading the Tigers was Grant Regulewith a blistering 21.40.

The 100 Butterfly saw the NA Girls with a 1st, 2nd, and 4th Pl finish. NA’s winner was Natalie Reubi with a time of 1:00.43. NA Boys finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Tiger Boy’s top swimmer was Danny Lesinski with a time of 51.47.

On to the 100 Freestyle, NA Girls finished with 1st, 2nd, and 4th Pl. NA Tiger winner Eva Ogden out touched everyone with a 54.57. The NA Boys came in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. NA’s top performer Zachary Totin timed in at 47.06.

In the 500 Freestyle, the NA Girls took 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. NA swimming’s top finisher was Maddie George with a time of 5:38.53.  Another 1, 2, 3 sweep for the NA Boys! NA’s winner for the event was Nicholas Klein with the time of 4:43.26.

Teamwork again, the 200 Freestyle relay saw the NA girls with a 1st, 3rd, and 4th Pl finish. NA Girls winning team of Brianna Reinhart, Emma Dietz, Madden Woycheck, and Natalie Reubi finished with a time of 1:44.42. The NA Boys brought home 1st, 3rd, and 4th Pl. The team of Grant, Regule, Danny Lesinski, Dylan Seiford, and Zachary Totin out touched the USC with a 1:25.77 finish.

At this point the NA Girls put a bow on it and the meet moved to exhibition. In the 100 Backstroke, the Tiger Girls best finisher was Shelby Sundgren with the time of 1:09.50. The 100 Breaststroke saw Emma Dietz as our fastest swimmer with a 1:08.89, and the top 400 Free Relay of Eva Zilinski, Julia Tengowski, Lorelai Quinet, and Claire Bacu finished with a time of 3:44.84.

For the NA Boys, the 100 Backstroke recorded a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishes with Gus Miller having an NA best time of 51.13. The Boys also moved to exhibition with Dylan Seiford swimming a 1:02.96 in the 100 Breaststroke and the team of Grant Regule, Danny Lesinski, Zachary Totin, and Gus Miller posting a 3:09.21 to be the Boys best finishers.

The NA Divers had the Upper hand over St. Clair. The girls went one, two, three, scoring thirteen team points. Senior Lola Malarky scored a 297.75 and set a new pool record, followed by junior Maggie Lapina and senior Juliet Hood. On the boys side, junior Ethan Maravich won with a 270.45. Anthony Farrah grabbed second place and new comer Nathan Rak had a strong showing for his first meet helping the boys score 11 team points.
