Worthington Holds Off NA Lacrosse, 6-3
Playing at the MSCLA Tournament, the North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team was upended by Worthington (OH) by a 6-3 decision on Friday night. The Tigers fell behind 5-1 by halftime as Worthington limited NA in a defensive battle.
With defense being the name of the game, NA junior Greg Ferringer had a strong night with five forced errors and five ground balls. Junior Jack Kairys reeled in eight ground balls and fellow junior Alec Vissotski corralled seven ground balls. North Allegheny goals came from Wes Powell, Dillon Duggan and Trevor Saundry.
North Allegheny slips to 8-7 overall with the non-section loss. The Tigers will continue at the MSCLA Tournament with a contest against Birmingham.
