UBO SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS PROGRAM
2011 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
Georgiana Thomas Scholarship
Congratulations to
Halie Carter on being selected as the 2011 recipient of the Georgiana
Thomas Scholarship. Halie will be attending Lehigh University majoring in
Biomedical Engineering. She is the daughter of Bob and Patti Carter and plans on continuing her track career at Lehigh. Halie will receive
her scholarship award at the UBO’s May 18th meeting.
Don Vandergrift Memorial Scholarship
The Unified Boosters is proud to announce Samantha Migliozzi will be the recipient of the 2011 Don Vandergrift Scholarship. Samantha will be attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania this fall. Samantha will be majoring in Early Childhood Education as well as Special Education. Samantha is the daughter of Debbie and Joe Migliozzi. Samantha will receive her scholarship at the May 18th UBO May meeting.

GEORGIANA THOMAS SCHOLARSHIP - $1,000
(2 Scholarships $1,000 each)
Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded,
one each to the first and second place winners
The Georgiana Thomas Scholarship was created to recognize a North Allegheny senior who is athlete/marching band member, that has achieved academic excellence, displays leadership qualities, and makes a commitment to others through volunteer service to school and/or community.
SENIORS CAN ONLY APPLY FOR ONE SCHOLARSHIP,
EITHER THE GEORGIANA THOMAS SCHOLARSHIP OR
THE DON VANDERGRIFT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP.
Eligibility Requirements:
Be a senior athlete or marching band member at North Allegheny .
Seniors with a cumulative QPA of 3.7 or higher by the end of the first semester of their senior year while participating in a North Allegheny athletic program or marching band.
Senior has not accepted a full tuition scholarship to a college or technical school.
Instructions:
Fill out the Scholarship Application
Return the completed application to the UBO mailbox in the Athletic Department Office by March 30, 2012, by 12 noon.
LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
FINAL CANDIDATES WILL BE INTERVIEWED.

DON VANDERGRIFT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $700
The Don Vandergrift Memorial Scholarship was created to honor a North Allegheny senior athlete or marching band member that has demonstrated leadership, school spirit and sportsmanship.
SENIORS CAN ONLY APPLY FOR ONE SCHOLARSHIP,
EITHER THE GEORGIANA THOMAS SCHOLARSHIP OR
THE DON VANDERGRIFT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP.
Eligibility Requirements:
Be a senior athlete or marching band member at North Allegheny.
A coach’s letter of recommendation must be submitted with application.
Senior has not accepted a full tuition scholarship to a college or technical school.

Return the completed application to the UBO mailbox in the Athletic Department Office by March 30, 2012, by 12 noon.

TIGER TEAM OF MERIT - $500 AWARD
The Tiger Team of Merit was created to recognize a varsity sports team for their team scholar athlete awards, overall team success, and community service.
$500 will to be awarded to the team to purchase sports equipment or other items to enhance their program.
Eligibility Requirements:
Be a North Allegheny Varsity Interscholastic or Club Sport, or Marching Band.
Instructions:
UBO rep must submit an application.
Return the completed application to the UBO mailbox in the Athletic Department Office by June 4, 2012 by 12 noon.
NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED
