Gold Medals For Ayden Owens, Jono Pelusi At TSTCA Meet #1
The North Allegheny indoor track and field team opened its winter schedule at the TSTCA Indoor Meet #1 at Edinboro University with an impressive performance and two gold medal winners. Junior Ayden Owens earned took first place in the boys’ 400 meter dash and 60 meter hurdles, and junior Jono Pelusi garnered first place in the boys’ pole vault.
Other NA boys’ who came away with a top-five finish were Mark Hartigan who took fifth place in the 3,000 meter run, Zach Ehling who grabbed third place in the 800 meter run, Richie Pajak claimed third place in the high jump and Liam Nobbs took third place in the pole vault and fourth place in the 60 meter hurdles. The NA relay team in the 4×400 meter relay took third place.
For the Lady Tigers, senior Melina Owens was second place finisher in the 60 meter hurdles and Casey Burton claimed second place in the 60 meter dash.
North Allegheny will take part in the TSTCA Indoor Meet #2 on Saturday, January 14.
