Tigers Take Section Championship On Senior Night

The North Allegheny girls’ golf team took home the section title after a home win over Pine-Richland 164-178 at Diamond Run Golf Course on Thursday afternoon.
Freshman Taylor Rittler led the Tigers with a match-low 38. Seniors Kayli Dings and Kirsten Karlovits each shot a 41. Senior Omisa Shah shot a 44 while senior Alessandra Habib shot a 46.
The Rams were led by Sienna Smith, who shot a 40.
With the win, North Allegheny improves to 13-0-1 and 12-0 in the section. Dings, Karlovits and Rittler will take part in the WPIAL Individual Championships coming up on Tuesday, September 23rd at Seven Oaks Country Club in Beaver. Second round action will take place at Sewickley Heights Golf Club on October 1st.
The WPIAL Girls Golf Team Tournament begins on October 9th at Cedarbrook Golf Course in Belle Vernon. Dings, Rittler, Karlovits, Shah and Habib will represent the Tigers in that event.
