Sophia Palermo Named All-PSAC Second Team

Former North Allegheny girls’ soccer and current Slippery Rock midfielder Sophia Palermo has earned a postseason accolade for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
Palermo was named Second-Team All-PSAC midfielder on Tuesday.
Palermo had 12 points on two goals and eight assists. Her eight helpers are the 18th most in Division II. Both of Palermo’s goals were game-winners. She also registered 27 shots and 14 shots on goal. In her junior season, Palermo started all 16 games and played a total of 1,165 minutes (72.8/game).
The business management major started all 18 games she played in during the 2024 season while being named to the CSC Academic All-District Team. She ranked third on the team with 13 points on five goals and three assists a year ago.
Slippery Rock’s season came to a close this week in the PSAC Tournament Quarterfinals, finishing the year with a 12-4-1 record.
