Tigers split with Moon

Boys
North Allegheny opened section play, hosting the Moon Tigers at Perry Park Lanes. Moon swept the NA boys 7-0, winning all three games as well as total pin count by a score of 2,535 – 2,399.
On strong performances from all five of their bowlers, Moon won the first game 934-824. The final two games proved to be much closer, with NA dropping Game 2 by six pins and Game 3 by 20 pins. Dominic Danko opened up Game 1 with a 218 as well as scoring the high series for NA with a 564. Other strong performers for the Tigers included Liam Cooper (204 game), Gino Fannie (198 game), Luke Rohan (190 game), and Sai Gunapalli (190 game).
For their next contest, NA travels to section rivals North Hills on Friday, December 5.
Girls
The Lady Tigers opened the season at Perry Park Lanes against the Moon Tigers. The NA girls were on a roll sweeping Moon 7-0, winning all three of their games and total pins with a pin count of 1542-1394.
Leading the day was junior Jordan Phillips with a 427 series with games of 142, 162, and 123. Notable scores were made by sophomore Colbie Edmond with a 371 series and games of 125, 129, and 137. On another high note, senior Sarah Truitt rolled a 110 in her first game to open the day.
The Lady Tigers next match will be Friday, December 5th at Pines Plaza Lanes against the North Hills Indians.
