Jordan Phillips participates at Western Pennsylvania Regional Tournament
by: Bowling Contributor
This past weekend, Junior Jordan Phillips participated in the Western Pennsylvania Regional Tournament as one of 85 finalists from the Greater Pittsburgh, Meadville and Erie areas.
The competition was high and the oil pattern on the lanes was a challenge pattern created to keep scoring low and the need to maintain consistency and make adjustments.
Phillips began the day rolling a 151 and 167 game, but through lane changes, ran into two difficult games. The pins were just not giving her any breaks nor falling her way. She continued to persevere and was able to pick her game back up in the fifth of five games to roll a 162.
Overall Phillips was placed on the lanes with three of the top qualifiers for State Competition and was able to hold her own in her rookie season and placed 53 out of 85 of Western Pennsylvania’s elite bowlers.
