Hobart freshman Colman Craft is already turning heads on the men’s lacrosse team after earning a spot on the USILA Team of the Week earlier this month.

Now, the defenseman has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

In just seven games so far this season, Craft has registered 23 caused turnovers, which is tied for third on the program’s single-season list and just two away from the record. He leads the nation in caused turnovers per game at 3.29.

Hobart begins A10 play this week at home against Saint Joseph’s.  Faceoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21.

Craft was a four-year varsity letter winner and starter for the Tigers boys’ lacrosse team, playing long-stick midfielder and close defense. He holds the program record for caused turnovers. In 2025, he was a USA Lacrosse All-American while earning All-MSLA, all-section, and All-WPIAL twice during his time at NA. Craft was named team MVP as a senior and team defense MVP as a junior. He recorded a career-high 17 points (11g,6a) while winning 59% of his faceoffs as a senior.  He had a career-high 103 ground balls and caused a record 52 turnovers as a junior.

Craft was also a two-time WPIAL Champion with the North Allegheny football team as a standout wide receiver.
