Trio of Tigers selected for Big 33 Classic

The North Allegheny flag football program continues its streak of excellence as seniors Danika Hogan, Maddie Williams, and Luci Zagacki have been selected to compete in the PA Big 33 Classic. The premier all-star event will take place from May 22–24, 2026, at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, PA.

This nomination marks the third consecutive group of Lady Tigers to be recognized by the Big 33 committee. Hogan, Williams, and Zagacki join an elite lineage of alumni, following in the footsteps of Allyson Ruiz and Kyra Schmidt (Class of 2024) and Leah Skweres (Class of 2025).

Luciana Zagacki Commits To Mercyhurst For Flag Football

North Allegheny flag football senior Luci Zagacki has announced where she plans to play at the next level.

The multi-sport athlete committed to play flag football at Mercyhurst University on Saturday.

Zagacki was the recent winner of the Jerome Bettis Leadership Award presented by the Pittsburgh Steelers. She is a captain for North Allegheny Flag Football and the team is off to a 5-0 start so far this season. Luciana is a two-sport letter winner who won a WPIAL Championship with the girls’ soccer team this fall.

Mercyhurst Flag Football is in its first season of competition. The sport has recently been sanctioned by colleges and high schools across the country.

Luciana Zagacki Wins Jerome Bettis Leadership Award

North Allegheny flag football senior Luci Zagacki was honored by Steelers Youth Football on Friday.

The multi-sport athlete was named the first winner of the 2026 Girls Flag Jerome Bettis Leadership Award.

Luciana is an excellent leader for the North Allegheny Tigers Girls Flag Football team. She is always supportive of teammates’ ideas and is proactive in addressing a gap that she may see. She has a contagiousness about the way she carries herself, making those around her likely to follow in her footsteps both on and off the field. Luciana is a two-sport letter winner who won a WPIAL Championship with the girls’ soccer team this fall, a member of the National Honor Society, volunteers with the Just for Girls Sports Camp every summer and is an active member of her church.
