Macey Casten and Leah Skweres named to Big 33 Girls Flag Football Classic

Posted on:

North Allegheny seniors Macey Casten and Leah Skweres were named to the 2025 Big 33 Girls Flag Football Classic last week.

Casten is a first-year player who had to fill some big shoes replacing graduating quarterback Kyra Schmidt. “Macey is a great athlete, with a great attitude,” according to Coach Ruiz, “she is fearless, intelligent, and a true competitor.” Casten completed over 110 passes and has only turned the ball over four times during the 2025 regular season. She also plays defensive back where she had three interceptions.

Skweres is also a first-year player that plays wide receiver. She had a stellar 2025 campaign on the offensive end collecting 11 touchdowns and eight extra points to contribute to the Tigers 10-1 regular season. Skweres is multi-talented across the middle of the field and once she catches the ball in stride it is hard to stop her. She is the queen of the whip out route, as it fakes out every corner in the league.
