Becca Melanson Helps UCLA To MPSF Conference Title
The UCLA women’s water polo team won the MPSF Conference championship over the weekend and former North Allegheny standout Becca Melanson was a part of the title run.
On Sunday, the Bruins defeated rival and third-ranked California in the championship game, 13-10. Melanson scored the second goal of the contest to spark the victory for UCLA. She already has 16 goals and a team-leading 25 assists on the season.
UCLA is the No. 1-ranked team in the nation and is 23-0 on the season. The Bruins will next participate in the NCAA Tournament on Friday.
