Former Tiger Triumvirate Celebrates AMCC Championship
A trio of North Allegheny baseball alumni celebrated a conference championship on Saturday as Penn State Behrend captured the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference crown. Sophomore pitcher Jack Baumgartel, senior pitcher Nathan Campbell and junior hurler Joe Lang were all a part of the AMCC title-winning team. In PSU-Behrend’s first game of the tournament, a 5-4 comeback win over La Roche, Lang earned the victory in relief with 1.2 scoreless innings of relief.
Penn State Behrend advances to the NCAA Tournament where the Lions will face Regional host Baldwin Wallace on Friday. Baldwin Wallace is ranked No. 3 in the nation.
