Grace Rowley Wins National Championship, Earns All-American Status

Former North Allegheny cross country and track and field athlete Grace Rowley is a national champion at the Division III level after a great performance at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
The NYU junior led the field for the Violets, making a massive push to pass 59 runners in the second 1,000 meters. Her time of 21:20.0 landed her in eighth place overall and earned All-American status.

The win on November 22nd was the first national title for the NYU Women’s Cross Country team. The Violets previously finished as runner-up in 2023 and fourth place last season.

Before the title win, NYU won the UAA Championship, where Rowley came in fourth place individually with a time of 21:19.6.
